Cookie Policy
This page provides information regarding the cookies issued. Preliminarily, general information on cookies is provided, which is preparatory for the understanding of the detailed policy that we provide in our capacity as data controllers.
During navigation on a site, you may receive cookies on your terminal that are sent by the visited site (first-party) or by different web servers (so-called "third-party").
Cookies are used for different purposes: execution of computer authentication, session monitoring, storage of information on specific configurations regarding users accessing the server.
The Personal Data Protection Authority in its Provision on the matter of May 8, 2014, has identified two macro-categories:
– Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contractor or user to provide such service” (see Art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the Owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into:
- Browsing or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas);
- Analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself;
- Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the same.
For the installation of these cookies, there is an obligation to provide information pursuant to Art. 13 of the Code, while the prior consent of users is not required.
- Profiling cookies are instead aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same in the context of web browsing. Due to the invasiveness they may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian regulations provide that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express their valid consent (see Art. 122, paragraph I, of the Code).
